Bhim accuses NC, Congress of blood shed in valley

“Exodus of pandits a deep rooted conspiracy”

Srinagar: Accusing the Congress and the National Conference of the blood shed in the valley, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) on Tuesday said that the exodus of Kashmiri pandits from valley was a deep rooted conspiracy.

“Our tragedy is that we have always remained the slaves of National Conference and Congress. We lost one Lakh youth in the conflict. Who is responsible for their deaths? NC and Congress are the real culprits,” JKNPP, President, Prof Bhim Singh said, while addressing a news conference at party office Rajbagh on Tuesday afternoon.

“Kashmiri pandits were not forced out by the majority community. I know it. Why are the houses for pandits being raised in Nagrota and Jammu, not Kashmir? It is a deep rooted conspiracy and not just one party but many parties are part of this conspiracy,” he added.

Referring to the pro-freedom leader and Chairman of his faction of Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Singh said that Geelani offered him full support and cooperation to ensure the safe return of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community.

“Geelani sahib expressed his willingness to welcome the pandits at Qazigund, on their return,” Singh added.

Stressing for peaceful and result oriented dialogue between the estranged countries, JKNPP; President said that India and Pakistan should continue their dialogue process with a clear agenda. He said both the countries should solve the issue of Line of Control to bring the people of both the sides closer.

“India and Pakistan should settle the issue of LoC, once for all. However, the solution should bring people closer, not alienate them,” he added.

Advocating the need for addressing the internal dimensions of the Kashmir issue, Singh said, all the three provinces of the state have a unique identity. The three provinces, he said, should be reorganized not bifurcated.

On this occasion Singh said that his party will recruit 10 Lakh members during the ongoing member ship drive in the valley. (PBI)
